She has a practitioner background in international insurance and risk management for a global insurance company and a global law firm.

She is a former President of FERMA the Federation of European Risk Management Associations, a current member of the Board of IFRIMA the International Federation of Risk Management Associations, an independent non-executive director on several boards for captive insurance companies, and a trustee for the whistleblowing charity Protect.

Julia has actively contributed to the creation of risk, resilience and business continuity international standards over many years.

She is passionate about the risk management profession and promoting the exciting opportunities the profession has to offer now and in the future.
